OUR STORY

Staples Oil Co., Inc. is a family-owned energy distribution and retail business headquartered in Windom, MN. We have proudly served our customers with over 45 years of experience in the wholesale petroleum, bulk fuels, renewable fuels, lube oil, retail/convenience, logistics, and trucking industries.

Our early days were spent operating as a bulk fuels plant and oil warehouse based in Windom, MN with the Standard Oil brand.

In the 1980’s we began to expand into the convenience store business and over the next several decades the business continued to grow and expand our retail stores and bulk fuels locations along with our renewable, logistics, and transport divisions.

Throughout this time our mission has been simple; “Our team members strive daily to provide superior customer service while delivering top quality products to our customers at a fair price.”

Our founder Alan Staples instilled those values in us when he founded Staples Oil Co., Inc. in 1975, and those same values hold true today.

Today, Staples Oil Co., Inc. and it’s affiliate companies are owned and operated by Brent and Nicole Staples in conjunction with a tremendously strong team of professionals that we are proud to have as a part of our company, our friends, and our success.

Staples Oil Co., Inc. currently operates bulk fuel locations in Windom, Sanborn, Mankato/Pemberton, Shakopee, and Fulda, Minnesota along with our Boone, Iowa location.

Our transport division of CDL Hazmat certified professional drivers work throughout the upper Midwest supplying customers every day with their liquid fuel, logistics, and transportation needs.

Our sister company, Staples Enterprises, Inc., operates retail convenience stores, a full-line grocery store, and a Dairy Queen restaurant in communities throughout Southern Minnesota and Eastern South Dakota. We also enjoy our partnerships in affiliates Best Oil Cooperative and BioAg Energy Services. These companies operate additional wholesale petroleum, bulk fuels, renewable fuels, and trucking operations throughout the upper Midwest.
